Disability Employment Initiative to Provide Funding to Increase Career Programs for People with Disabilities

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has announced the availability of $15 million in grants to state workforce agencies to increase the employment of people with disabilities in current career programs. The funds will go toward the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI), a joint program of DOL's Employment and Training Administration and Office of Disability Employment Policy. DEI is helping American Job Centers better serve youth and adults with disabilities seeking jobs and job training.
