SBA National Ombudsman to Host Small Business Forum in Durant
OKLAHOMA CITY —Small business owners, representatives of local economic development organizations, trade groups and community leaders are invited to join the U.S. Small Business Administration's National Ombudsman Brian Castro to discuss federal regulatory issues impacting American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian small businesses in Durant on Monday, August 11, 2014.
This event, held in conjunction with the American Indian Chamber of Commerce Business Summit, will give the local small business community a chance to voice concerns about unfair regulatory enforcement, excessive fines, retaliation, burdensome regulations and other regulatory issues involving federal agencies. In addition, small businesses will have an opportunity to learn more about the range of resources available from the SBA and the Office of the National Ombudsman.
Comments and concerns raised at the regulatory fairness forum will be directed to the appropriate federal agency for a fairness review in an effort to reduce undue regulatory burdens, while helping small businesses succeed.
WHAT: Regulatory Fairness Forum for American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Small Business
WHERE: Choctaw Casino Event Center, 3702 Choctaw Road, Durant, OK 74701
WHEN: Monday, August 11, 2014, 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
