GAO Report to Congress: Additional Federal Actions Could Help Address Unique Challenges of Educating Children in Nursing Homes

Nearly 5,000 school-age children live in nursing homes nationwide and often face educational challenges. The Governmental Accountability Office has issued a report titled Additional Federal Actions Could Help Address Unique Challenges of Educating Children in Nursing Homes. The report analyzes these obstacles and lists recommendations the departments of Education and Health and Human Services can take to overcome them.
