Wednesday 07/09/14
African dust is covering most of the state today except for the El Paso area and could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of this area. The highest dust concentrations should be in South, Central, and Southeast Texas where the PM2.5 AQI could reach the middle of the "Moderate" range. In the El Paso area, moderate winds and lower incoming background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

Thursday 07/10/14
African dust should cover the entire state and could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of the state. The highest dust concentrations should be in Central, North Central, and Northeast Texas where the daily PM2.5 AQI could reach the middle of the "Moderate" range.

Friday 07/11/14 Outlook
African dust should cover the entire state and could raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of the state. Dust concentrations should be highest over much of the eastern two-thirds of the state, where the daily PM2.5 AQI could reach the high end of the "Moderate" range.

Saturday 07/12/14 Outlook
African dust should continue over the entire state and will likely raise the daily PM2.5 AQI into the "Moderate" range over most of the state. Dust concentrations should be highest over much of the eastern two-thirds of the state, where the PM2.5 AQI could reach the high end of the "Moderate" range.
