REMINDER: Public Input Requested: Inpatient Psychiatric Care 10-Year Plan Please Respond by Midnight on Friday, July 11, 2014 DSHS is seeking public input regarding inpatient psychiatric care as directed by Rider 83 following the 83rd Legislative Session held in 2013. Rider 83 requires DSHS to develop a 10-year plan for the provision of psychiatric inpatient hospitalization to persons served by the department, and requires DSHS to obtain public input as part of the planning process. The plan must consider timely access to patient care in the least restrictive setting clinically appropriate, best practices in psychiatric inpatient care, opportunities for patients to receive care closer to their homes, and efficient use of state resources. All DSHS stakeholders are invited to complete the brief survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Rider83Survey before midnight on July 11, 2014.
