African dust should cover most of the eastern two-thirds of the state, along and east of a line from Big Bend to Lubbock to Canadian, and should raise the daily PM2.5 AQI well into the "Moderate" range in this area. Elsewhere in the remainder of West Texas, moderate winds and low background levels should help to keep air quality in the "Good" range.

If winds are light enough, incoming background levels may be high enough for ozone to possibly reach the "Moderate" range in the El Paso area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.
