Special AnnouncementsWebinar on Medicaid 1115 Waivers: How Are They Transforming the Health System? Medicaid 1115 waivers allow states to test new or existing ways to deliver and pay for healthcare services in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. Presenters will give public health lawyers, health practitioners, and other stakeholders an overview of Section 1115 Medicaid waivers, describe how states have used them, and discuss how they are affected by healthcare reform. Representatives from Arkansas and Texas will discuss their states' approaches of using Medicaid 1115 waivers and highlight unique features of how they have chosen to address population health and Medicaid expansion.
