TIME TO CERTIFY In order to comply with FSA program eligibility requirements, all producers are encouraged to make an appointment with the Hockley County FSA office to file an accurate crop certification report by the applicable deadline. July 15, 2014 is the final reporting date for: Spring seeded crops to include cotton, grain sorghum, peanuts, forage sorghum, and CRP. Please call our office at 806-894-3332 Extension 2 to make an appointment. EMERGENCY GRAZING of CRP Hockley County has been approved for Emergency Grazing of CRP acreage for 2014. Interested producers must request and obtain approval prior to grazing. Emergency Grazing is for up to a 90 day period that will end on September 11, 2014. There will be NO reduction in the annual rental payment for emergency grazing. Strict restrictions on grazing, both managed and emergency, are now being enforced due to the listing of the Lesser Prairie Chicken as a threatened species.
