DOE Announces Webinars on Algal Biofuels Consortium Research Results, Solar Energy Maps, and More

The Energy Department will present a live webcast titled "Algal Biofuels Consortium Releases Groundbreaking Research Results" on Wednesday, June 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. During this webinar, participants will receive an overview of the technologies and processes that are needed to widely produce algae-based liquid transportation fuels and learn about the implications these advancements have for the future of the algal biofuels industry. Register to attend the webcast.

The Energy Department will also present a live webinar titled "Solar Resource and Technical Potential: Finding, using, and making maps for decision makers" on Wednesday, June 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. This webinar will explain how to make your own location-specific solar energy resource maps from information such as real-time irradiance and meteorological data. Attendees will also learn how to effectively determine the technical, economic, and market potential in your locality using tools such as MapSearch and RE Atlas. Register to attend the webinar.
