COC Election Nomination Period

Eligible voters in Local Administrative Area (LAA)-1 have until August 1, 2014 to nominate candidates of their choice to serve on the Cass County FSA Committee.  LAA-1 includes the townships of Salt Creek, South Bend, McKelverly, Murdock, Tipton, and Stove Creek.

To be eligible to serve on the Farm Service Agency County Committee, a person must participate or cooperate in a program administered by FSA, be eligible to vote in a county committee election, and reside in the LAA in which the person is a candidate.  Producers may nominate themselves or others and organizations representing minorities and women may also nominate candidates.  To become a candidate, an eligible individual must sign the nomination form FSA-669A, which can be obtained from the County FSA Office or on-line at www.fsa.usda.gov/elections.

The Cass County FSA Office will be holding a COC election informational meeting at 10:00 am on July 14, 2014, here in the Weeping Water Service Center
