Dear NPIN Prevention News Update Subscribers;

We want to be sure that you're aware of the upcoming changes to PNU.  Due to a reduction in funding and competing government priorities, the CDC HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention News Update (PNU) service is being discontinued as of June 30, 2014. Between now and June 30, the PNU frequency will be three times per week rather than daily. While the CDC understands the convenience of this service for our stakeholders, we hope that you will be able to utilize one of the available news alerts from search engines such as Google, Bing or Yahoo to receive disease specific news. To help those that may be unfamiliar with using search engine alerts, we are preparing a tip sheet that will be available shortly.

This change will also impact those that subscribe to the PNU RSS feed as well as those that read PNU via our FlipBoard magazine.  All PNU services - email, RSS, FlipBoard as well as the Twitter #NPINNews will end on June 30.

We encourage you to review the other NPIN subscription options available such as the weekly Funding Announcements, Twitter email updates, and the very popular Connections e-newsletter for the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB Prevention.  Information on all these options can be found on the NPIN web site, just click Sign Up for e-mail Updates in the Get Connected section of the homepage.
